Who Takes This Test?

People working in or with the Middle East and North Africa, diplomats and international civil servants, students applying to Arabic-speaking institutions, and language learners tracking their progress. Arabic is one of the UN's six official languages — documented proficiency matters in a range of professional contexts.

The test uses Modern Standard Arabic (MSA / Fusha), the formal written and broadcast standard used across the Arab world and in all official contexts.

What the Test Covers

Grammar: root-pattern morphology, verb conjugation, dual and plural forms, case endings. Vocabulary: Modern Standard Arabic across professional and everyday contexts. Reading comprehension of written Arabic texts. Correct grammatical structures and formal expressions.

What the Levels Mean

A1–A2: the Arabic alphabet and basic phrases. B1–B2: most professional and social situations. C1–C2: the level needed for academic writing, journalism, or diplomatic work in Arabic.
