Common questions
The test is completely free to take. You only pay for the certificate (from €8) if you want to download and share your result.
Most people complete it in 15 to 25 minutes. The AI adapts to your level, so you stop as soon as an accurate assessment is reached.
Texts range from short everyday items like signs and messages at A1 to A2, through emails and articles at B1 to B2, up to dense opinion pieces and semi-academic texts at C1 to C2. The difficulty of the text matches the question difficulty at each level.
There is no hard time limit per question, but the test is designed to be completed in about 20 to 25 minutes total. Taking much longer than that will not change your score, since the assessment is based on accuracy, not speed.
